About Me

Hello, it appears you’ve stumbled upon the userpage of Travis “Sound-Resonance” Polad.  I am a graduate from the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, IL with a Bachelors in Media Arts & Animation. If you’d like to learn more about me, go ahead and continue on down this page.  Or if you’d rather check out some of my work, feel free to click on one of my galleries on the left side of the page.

I am a fan of drawing, video games, and cartoons, which is probably the reason why I’m now in an art/animation school.  I also enjoy creating my own projects from other media such as costuming, voice acting, singing and whistling.  Illustrations and 3D modeling may be my specialties, but when I have free control over my medium is when I’m at my best.  As long as I’m having fun with what I’m doing, I’m happy wherever I end up in life.

As far as work experience goes, I’ve been lucky enough to get a little experience in the freelance art industry already.  Other than that, I also have had the fortunate ability to find and keep a part-time job ever since I was 16.  Ranging from Store Cart-Attendant to Valet, to Telemarketer, to Delivery Supervisor, to Legoland Discovery Center Chicago Model Builder, and more.  These experiences have taught me how to work independently as well as part of a team.  If there’s one thing I’ve learned from all this, it’s that I love the planning stages of a group project.  Being able to get together with a team and bounce ideas off each other is my favorite part of any project, and I’m hoping to use my knowledge, skills and personality to find the right group of people to team up with.

If you’d like to meet me, or hear me ramble on more about myself, feel free to contact me at soundres@live.com.  Until then, ciao!
